A Fun Three Weeks at the Beach

Just returned home from PCB yesterday.  Had a ball.

I decided to explore on the way to the condo.  Had read about "Morrison Springs" which is located about 45 miles North of PCB in Ponce De Leon.  Pretty, but not as nice as our Gulf.  https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g28930-d672192-Reviews-Morrison_Springs-Florida.html

Pal Patricia came in for Labor Day, Hurricane Hermine visited and ruined a lot of holiday plans for visitors.

They have a big 3 day "Gulf Coast Jam" every year.  It was cancelled because of the weather.  The bad storms came Fri, Sat and Sun.  Double Red Beach flags were flying.  NO SWIMMING!

Patricia and I enjoyed the crystal clear water and went to The Firefly one night.

Keith and Lauren came over last week for a couple of days and a night.  We enjoyed beach time and Happy Hour at The Liq across the street.

Although Hermine didn't affect us with storms, (Patricia and I waited for her in a hot tub with no luck)there was quite a tidal surge, and the water became muddy.

On my last night, I got a couple shots of the tide "rolling in".  I'd only seen that once before.

So..... back with my dear Dom for a week or two, then back to the beach!

Fun on the Intra Coastal Waterway

I just got back from PCB yesterday.  Had a great 2 weeks.

This was the highlight of the trip.  Dear friends Keith and Lauren have a houseboat on a slough of the Intra Coastal Waterway.

They live in White City, Gulf County Florida..... 55 miles from the condo.

Last Sunday, I met Keith at his business in Mexico City Beach then followed him home.

Lauren had all of our overnight supplies ready.  We hopped in their 19 ft. boat and zipped about 3 miles to the houseboat.

I was in heaven!

When we weren't fishing off of the houseboat, we were zipping around the waterway and exploring little sloughs.  ("sloos")...  Headed down to St. Joe Bay and up to Lake Wimico.  Gorgeous.

Spent 2 nights and had a great time. This was the first time that they had spent the night on the boat.  It won't be the last!

A Fun Week With Pal Sheila

Just got back from the beach the other day.  Had a delightful time.

My great high school pal, Sheila flew down for a week.  We hadn't seen each other for 30+ years.  You'd never know it.  We didn't skip a beat.  You'd have thought that we were still teenagers!

We had a BUSY, busy week.  Perfect weather-  Not a drop of rain while she visited.  We beached it every day, hit Happy Hour across the street, then ate out each night...

Our Lauren and Keith came over to spend the night.  Had great fun on the beach, as normal.

We had a grand time and are planning her next visit!
