A Very Pleasant Thanksgiving

This year, Ping and Joe joined us.  They were hoping to do some shooting, but it was too cold... 50's and windy.

So, as they watched football, I kept busy in the kitchen preparing our feast and sipping on Beaujolais Nouveau for much of the day.  Ping got a kick out of our slot machine.  She's one lucky girl!

We had:

*Martha Stewart Turkey  (covered with cheesecloth and basted constantly with melted butter and Chardonnay....very moist and makes a delicious gravy)

*Cornbread/Pecan/Sausage/Cranberry Stuffing

*Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

*Caramelized Balsamic Pearl Onions

*Yam Casserole with Brown Sugar/Pecan topping

*Lima Beans

*Corn Souffle

*Spinach Souffle (Stouffer's)

*Shredded Brussels Sprouts with Slivered Almonds and Parmesan Cheese

Joe brought a good bottle of French Champagne- 'twas yummy.

Our raccoon gang showed up for dinner.  Ping was delighted.  After awhile, she got brave enuf to feed them herself.

We wanted to feed them breakfast the next day, but when we awoke at 8am, they were already gone.

Anyway, fun was had by all.
